Shay Mitchell Shares Emotional New Years Message, Revealing She Suffered A MiscarriageIn 2018

The actress got candid about her struggles as well while remembering the year that just ended. Shay Mitchell shared a note on her Instagram account earlier today, and in it, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage.

Shay has reportedly been involved in a very private relationship with TV host Matte Babel ever since the beginning of 2017.

She posted a sonogram and captioned it with a broken heart emoji before sharing the emotional message about losing her baby and how most of the time it is just ‘easier to showcase only the good times on social media.’

‘Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and also hugely uplifting. The support and affection so many of you show me lifts me up during my darkest days, one of which happened after I miscarried and the child of my dreams.’

Mitchell went on to say in part that ‘In the spirit of the new year, I think we need to remember we’re all on this journey together – in good times and in bad. So, for 2019, let us all try to be a bit more compassionate, empathetic, patient and thoughtful with each other.’

She noted how people rarely really know what others actually go through in their private lives, and that applies to celebrities as well, even though it may seem like they share everything online.

The star also mentioned that this is definitely a resolution that she feels like it is worthy to share with the world and that she hopes a lot of people would agree with her and start applying it to their daily lives in the new year.
